5 rooftop bars to view Bangkok at its best!

There are many rooftop bars and restaurants all across Bangkok. Here are 5 we suggest, to give you a view of the City of Angels at its very best.

Moon Bar - Banyan Tree Hotel

Located beside the equally impressive Vertigo restaurant on the 61st floor of the luxury Banyan Tree Hotel, Moon Bar is relatively small as as such offers a more intimate feel than many of the other rooftop bars in the city. Cocktails are the speciality here as well and the view covers the CBD as well as the river.

Sky Bar at Lebua State Tower

Probably the most well known of Bangkok's many rooftop bars, this one got a big boost from featuring in the movie Hangover. It is an absolute Instagram favourite, and as such it does tend to get very busy. So if you are wanting a place to be seen, this is for you. If you prefer a more romantic option, possibly not. 63 stories high, it offers a 360 degree view of the City of Angels, and is well known for it's fabulous cocktail list.

Three Sixty Lounge - Millennium Hilton

If you want a prime view of the Chao Phraya river and you like jazz, this is the perfect place to choose. The lounge features an outside area as well as an indoor 360 degree lounge where live jazz is played 6 days a week. The river is a constant scene of activity day and night and if you are staying on the other side of the river, taking a boat across to the Millennium is also a fun experience.

Scarlett Wine Bar and Restaurant - Pullman Bangkok Hotel G

For those who are more into wine than cocktails, this is a good option. French cuisine and an extensive wine list are offered in a stylish setting on the 37th floor of this hotel. They also cater for those in the mood for something lighter such as charcuterie and cheese or tapas. It is a larger space meaning getting a table is easier than in some other bars, while you enjoy your views across Silom and the river Chao Phraya.

Brewski - Radisson Blu Plaza Sukhumvit

As a craft beer fan, I had to include this one. Located on the 29th and 30th floors of this hotel in Sukhumvit, close to Asoke BTS station, it does not offer such spectacular views as some of its competitors, but does offer a fabulous choice of craft beers by the bottle, can and on a range of taps. Super friendly service and a relaxed vibe are a nice change from some of the more "need to be seen" bars across the city.
