Bike Hong Kong’s wild side!

It would take nerves of steel to ride a bike in Hong Kong downtown, but the untouched New Territories are an entirely different matter!

Taking this guided tour of the area gives you more than just a soft workout on two wheels. It includes a visit to an ancient walled village, a mysterious tree house and an internationally recognised bird migration area.

Firstly you will cycle through Kam Tin Walled City, which is home to about 400 descendants of the Tang Clan, who settled here from China during the Song Dynasty.

From there move on to the historic village of Shui Tau, with its Old Schoolhouse Museum and Ancestral Halls. Next stop is the nearby Mystery Tree House, with 850 years of history to pore over! From the Tree House the group will cycle to Nam Sheng Wai, an area known for its many bird species.

Continuing on we arrive at the old city of Yuen Long. Here we will join in a delicious DimSum lunch. After lunch those who have joined the half day option will depart and the rest of us will continue cycling through Yuen Long to the Fish Ponds of Tsim Bei Tsui and the border fence of China! Across the bay you will see China, while on the other side, we will ride through some of the best bird migration areas Hong Kong has to offer, situated right behind the Wetland Park.

Finally, we finish our ride, cycling back towards Hong Kong’s very own Wetland Park. You are free to explore at your leisure, however we recommend you allow two hours to enjoy it. The Wetland Park closes at 5:00PM, so we will try to be there by 2:30PM. Transport after the Wetland Park will be suggested by our guide before he says good-bye to the the group.
