Buenos Aires - dancing in the streets

Updated: Mar 19, 2020

A visit to Argentina's capital city will introduce you to the world famous Tango

Buenos Aires, the world capital of tango also has a passion for football and equestrian sports (such as Polo). The warmest month in Buenos Aires is January and the coldest is July. But the South American early summer, when the purple Jacaranda flowers, is the best season for a visit.

A highlight of the city is the Caminto. This is an approximately 100 meter long pedestrian street in the district of La Boca. This used to be an eyesore, until the artist Benito Quinquela Martín picked up the paint bucket. Today, this pedestrian zone is a very popular and impressive destination for tourists.

The heart and the city's birthplace is the Plaza de Mayo. Via the avenue "Avenida de Mayo", this place is connected to the Plaza del Congreso located in the Balvanera district - also worth a look.

If you have a taste for the unconventional, you can go to the not entirely uncontroversial amusement park Tierra Santa. This park is also called 'Disneyland of the faith '. Here are many replicas of famous religious monuments in a modern presentation.

A similar very special building is the Casa Rosada, or Pink Palace. Home to the president & given the outspoken nature of the people you can experience political action live on stage.

The district of San Telmo is one of the most popular with tourists. Here you are likely to see street performers on every corner, there are bars and cafes everywhere, and lots of street art as well.

Buenos Aires, is a city of wonderfully open-minded inhabitants! You will experience a most warm welcome.

BUENOS AIRES IS THE CAPITAL OF ARGENTINA AND VERY EUROPEAN. THE METROPOLIS, ALSO KNOWN AS THE WORLD CAPITAL OF TANGO HAS APPROXIMATELY 2,900,000 INHABITANTS AND YOU WILL LIKELY ENCOUNTER TANGO DANCING ON THE STREETS.
